Document Design

Document design is playing an important role in a document as if the design of documents is distinctive or outstanding, it easily grab viewer's attention, According to Reep (2006), readers basically do not read only printed words on a page and also will 'read' the visual presentation of the text. Hence, to design effective power point documents, layout, structure and messages are the three main characters (Enargeia 2008). The distinction between proper layout (c) and group's power point slides layouts as shown below (d,e and f)

Headings are organizational cues that alert readers to the sequence of information in a document (Reep, 2006). Figure 1.8 shown the group's power point slide has no heading, meanwhile, it hardly provide an outline that helps readers see the relationship of sections. Besides, Schriver (1997), claimed that poor design in a document it describes can have detrimental effect on the reader's perception of themselves.

Blogs are playing an important role nowadays

Blog is becoming increasingly popular nowadays. Advertisers have started to see the real benefits in blogging. Hence, this group of advertisers basically will try to sustain a good relationship with blogger or pay them to advertise the company’s products. In my opinion, blog advertising is a very common tool and popular in this rivalry society. Blog advertising is definitely a rewarding business if the company is hitting the right goals to start it with. “Nothing can be more effective than a blog advertising that is being directed to what the blog content is trying to persuade its readers to do” (Leung 2010)

In term of context of blog advertising, if the blogs are effective enough to reach their target audience in an instantly profitable way, these companies will deem the particular blog is credible and reliable. Hence, these companies will decide to post these ads at this particular blog. In term of formats, blog advertising is generally shown through several media types such as the vlog and linklog. Both media commonly found on websites. There are many small companies create blog for their own businesses. One important element to any blog is vlog. Vlog enables the company connects better with their customers and new viewers, giving viewers a sense of knowing the company and its business better, demonstrating a company product more easily and lastly, promote the company with customer testimonials
( Khera Communications 2010). Hence, visual communication is playing an important role in online communication. Besides, Barry (2000, p.1) in her discussion said that it is important to actively use visual media as a mean to establish awareness.
